Jason Pizza

Executive summary

Jason Pizza leads the Firm's Transaction Accounting and IPO readiness services as part of Grant Thornton's Accounting Advisory Services Practice. With more than 15 years of experience, Jason supports clients with both sell-side and buy-side transactions through financial statements, separation assistance, IPO readiness and technical accounting services for corporate and private equity clients.

His specific advisory experience includes working with several large and mid-market clients, and the SEC, in the preparation and support of U. S. GAAP compliant financial statements, as well as additional deal support including separation services. Jason has worked with several large and small clients in preparing them to go public either through a traditional IPO, SPAC or Direct Listing method.

Jason also has direct industry experience working as both a Corporate Controller as well as a Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting for 2 large publicly held companies. He has also led several, global sell-side and carve-out transactions of large divestitures in North America, Europe, and Asia. Before coming to Grant Thornton, Jason spent three years at Arthur J. Gallagher, where he served as the Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting. Prior to that, Jason was in the accounting advisory services practice of a ‘Big 4’ Firm in Chicago.
