Steven Perkins

Executive summary

Steve Perkins is the national leader of Grant Thornton's U. S. Technology and Telecommunications industries. He works with technology executives to help drive profitable growth and optimize performance of business units and supporting functions through technology-driven transformation. Additionally, he develops long and near term strategies focused on growth, diversification and expansion.

As a board member with the leading technology industry association, Steve works with leading technology company executives to inform and shape regulatory and policy issues for both US and international markets. He served in executive roles including chief operating officer, svp/general manager, chief strategy officer and chief revenue officer. These included senior leadership roles with Fortune 100 technology companies, managing profit and loss, and building and leading teams for both the U. S. and international markets.

These roles have further included leading business strategy, government relations, product development and marketing functions. Steve has more than 40 years of experience, advising organizations on the most effective use of IT across a wide range of industries. Additionally, he has developed and executed product and services growth strategies, specializing in software and technology services as a partner with a top 3 strategy consulting company. In addition to technology, Steve has significant public sector, services and aerospace and defense industry experience.
